Pre-Fabricated Predalles

In its long-time experience, Concrete Forms Systems created a formwork for predalles slabs, an excellent choice in comparison with the traditional lightenings in polystyrene and bricks.

The Concrete Forms Systems’ products which are suitable for this purpose are two: Concrete Slab and Vents Slab. Both are in polyethylene, a recycled plastic material. Thanks to this peculiarity, they can be considered eco-friendly products, as they can also be re-used in the future. Moreover, the plastic material does not absorb the water in the concrete of the slab: in this way, using Concrete Slab or Vents Slab as a lightening for slabs, it is possible to avoid all the issues that polystyrene usually causes, like soaking issues.

There are also many other advantages in using these two products: they are lighter than the traditional lightening, so they can be handled easily. As they contain air inside, they ensure a perfect thermal insulation and don’t require a ventilation system. The plastic elements can be stored easily in the construction site and their installation is fast, thanks to their lower locking that anchors them to the fresh concrete.

Last but not least, the plastic elements are very resistant. They are walkable during the installation, without any worry to break them.

Vents Slab is a plastic rectangular element suitable for precast unidirectional predalles slabs: it is placed on the fresh concrete during the creation of the prefabricated slabs.

Concrete Slab formwork can be used individually or combining two elements in order to create a double structure. In addition to the classic prefabricated predalles, it can be used to create semi-prefabricated slabs both mono-directional and bi-directional.
